HORSFALL Mahanga Pomare: It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mahanga, who left us on 7th July 2025 in Sydney, Australia. Dearly beloved son of the late George Arthur and Cathrine Maraekura Horsfall (nee Andrews), cherished brother of Maraekura, and Hoani. Nephew, uncle, cousin, moko and friend. He will be remembered for his joy of learning and gentle spirit. Always in our hearts. Mahanga will lie in-state at Waiokura Marae, Winks Road, Manaia from Friday until his service. A time to celebrate Mahanga’s life will be held at Waiokura Marae on Saturday 16th August 2025, commencing at 10am. followed by his interment at Manaia Cemetery.
