Passed away 11 August after a very short illness, stoically borne. In his 81st year. Cherished husband of Betty (deceased). Big brother to Albert (deceased), Mabel, James and Thelma (deceased). Loved Dad of Stuart and Leeann. Loved Step-Dad to Darryl, Daniel, Suzanne and John. Adored father-in-law to Louise and Alina. Poppa to Jamie, Courtney, Ella (deceased), Jackson, Ava, Toni, Sherilee, Anton, Jared and Cory. Great Poppa to Piper, Oliver and Jade.
A celebration of Barrie's life will be held at Davis Funeral Home (Henderson) Monday 18th August 2025 at 11am, followed by burial at North Shore Memorial Park. All welcome to join the family for refreshments at Hobsonville RSA from 1.30pm

We met Barrie on our trip to New Zealand What a lovely man he was He was so kind to us letting us have the use of a car while we were visiting and taking us out for a memorable day on his boat Rip Barrie now reunited with Betty
Whenever I met Barrie over the years when Courtney was younger, he was always so polite and cheery and always had that beautiful smile. Was sorry I was unable to attend the service, but watched it livestream and he has had a wonderful sendoff. May Barrie rest peacefully with Betty now.
Such a beautiful service for a wonderful man. I was lucky enough to meet Barry a couple of times, a true gentleman.
The nicest 2nd Dad a girl could have. For 47 years I have learnt from you. The best ever Poppa. A kind and generous man, always with a ready smile.
