Bereavement pānui on behalf of the Maihi and Takimoana Whanau regarding the passing of their beloved Mother, grandmother and wife, Carolyne Heleena “BAMBI” Takimoana Maihi, who sadly passed away on Tuesday the 12th of August 2025, in Whangarei.

Whaea is currently in our care and will depart later tonight, for her whānau whare in Maruata, where she will lay for the night. Whaea Bambi will travel to Pehiaweri Marae tomorrow, Thursday the 14th of August at 11:30am, where she will remain for the duration of her tangihanga.

The whānau have advised that further arrangements will be confirmed at the Marae, and this pānui will be updated once details are finalised.
