Brother, its hard to find words where deep loss and ever-present love intersect, yet here we are to honour a man who filled every room he entered with laughter and light. We've had the honour of knowing Karu all our lives - a lifetime that still feels all too short to have spent with someone so extraordinary. Karu was the heartbeat of our family, the harakeke that tied us together with his loving, caring, gentle soul. If you ever met him, you'd know that his eyes sparkled with the kind of mischievous wisdom only he could possess; his humour was a bridge that connected us all effortlessly. Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow. What it means to lose you, no-one will ever know. Until we meet again. Always in our hearts.
