I went to Myfi as a Support Worker for over 8 years. She was a great example of making the most of life. With all her health issues she was still able to do things she enjoyed. I looked forward to going to her four times a week. Great conversations. Her neighbours in Kenneth Small Crescent helped her in many ways so she was able to stay in her home. They were dog sitters, wine drinkers, shoppers etc and great company for her. I think most people would agree she was one determined woman. I remember her starting to study with the Bible Training College. She had to give it up as she didn’t have the energy to do it well. I also think she stopped because if she couldn’t do it to a high standard she wasn’t going to do it. She loved her pets and got great enjoyment from them. She appreciated all the help she got from Support Workers and praised us for our efforts. She also gave honest feedback to Enliven about workers. I think the funeral service was just as she would have expected it to be. Well done family and the Church.
