Jill was my Marching NZ Display Group Advisor for about five or so years. I will never forget her passion for marching - she loved it and loved talking about it with like minded people. She wanted people to achieve their goals and supported teams and judges to do just that. Her deadpan humour often threw me but my goodness she was funny. "Bloody marching" is echoed around the place, and I picked it up from Jill. She is imbedded in marching - she will always be with us, guiding us as we judge, for her support and advice is still used to this very day. Thank you Jill for all you did for me and my colleagues who were lucky to have you as an advisor, chief judge, and panel member. I would not be the judge I am today if it had not been for you. May you rest peacefully, and as they say, marchers never die - instead they mark time.

Jill, is a remarkable woman of 83 years, who leaves behind a legacy of warmth, wisdom, and unwavering kindness. Thinking of Jill I remember a life well-lived, full of laughter, love, and cherished moments. I will miss you my cousin, lots of love Judy.
