Funeral service held at Grahams Funeral Chapel Pukekohe
Shirley -So sorry not to have attended your funeral service, but I was always under the impression, you weren't going to have one. I am so pleased, I have had the chance to view your farewell on line. It so truly reflected the person you were. You will be very much missed on Wednesday mornings at our "Coffee Sessions" at Franklin Hospice etc & at our end of the month outings. Rest peacefully. - Linda xxxx
I am so sorry I missed your funeral, Shirley. No one told me you were having a funeral. I have watched it on line and it was a lovely funeral. You will be truly missed at coffee in the Hospice house every Wednesday. Xxxxxxx Alison
Shirley and I shared many cuppas and times together over the years., especially in Whangamata. But also once she moved to Pukekohe and when I was on a trip through to Auckland. She was such a lovely, happy, clever person who was lovely company. One of the loveliest memories is our weekend trip to Melbourne with her daughter Kerry. We had such fun. She made me an outfit for my daughter's wedding in 1999 which far surpassed the outfit I had originally bought and then decided I wasn't going to wear. Lovely times and meals at the Ocean Sports Club too. Lots to think about and remember. It was lovely to see the service today and remember about the jigsaws. I especially liked the way everyone put a jigsaw piece on her coffin and all the messages being written on the coffin. She would have loved that. I would like to thank Kerry for phoning me and telling me the news. So sudden and such a shock. She will be greatly missed by everyone. Jan Eden
