A private, invite only family service to farewell "Benny"
Funeral service held atΒ Flaxton Park Farewell Chapel
I'm so sad that I didn't get to know you that well, and it was 18 years since we last saw each other, but I cherish the time we had together when you came over here. Mum spoke of you everyday, and we'd smile, we'd laugh, we'd cry... even more so now. Rest in Peace, dear Aunty Ben... and look over mum please, she is heartbroken π xxxx
You'll never be forgotten Ben and I'm grateful to have grown up with you as part of our wider family and to have so many wonderful memories with you. An amazing women who was gentle but not meek and didn't stand for any nonsense, caring, funny, compassionate and a very talented artist and musician who saw the world with much deeper meaning than most. You always took an interest in what everyone was doing and gave so much of yourself for others, especially your family. Your love of people and travel made you such an interesting person to talk to and you touched the lives of all you met. Once you even taught me to play a few bars of Beethoven's Fur Elise on mums piano whilst looking after us for a week at Viewhill. I hope you and mum and Denise are living it up somewhere. Lots of love Ben, and always in my heart xxoo
Many happy memories of spending time with Ben and Claire trips to Christchurch and hanging out at her house. Xx
