Isabel, I was distressed to read Bill’s obituary notice in the NZ Herald. I knew that he hadn’t been in the best of health recently, but the news of his passing was a real shock to me. Bill was a good friend to me during the years we worked together and after we had both left ADIS, and I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy to both you and to Jeremy and Mark and their families. You have lost a husband, father and grandfather who was kind, generous and loyal, and I know you will all miss his warm smile and perennially cheerful nature very much ─ as we all will. Bill was, quite simply, one of a kind, and he did indeed fight the good fight. With my best wishes Trevor
