Mum, Nana Christchurch and great Nana A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest, It broke our hearts to see you go, God only takes the best. They say that memories are golden, Well maybe that is true, But we never wanted memories, We only wanted you. Your life was love and labour, Your love for your family true, You did your best for all of us, We will always remember you. We sat beside your bedside, Our hearts were crushed and sore, We did our duty to the end, ‘Til we could do no more. In tears we watched you sinking, We watched you fade away, And though our hearts were breaking, We knew you could not stay. Our lips cannot speak how we loved you, Our hearts cannot tell what to say, But God only knows how we miss you, In our home that is lonely today. Till we meet again
To Annette, Dearly departed, a loved wife for 18 years until different paths led to separation and separate lives. During those years together we raised a family, Robyn Raymond Sheryl, of whom we both stood proud to call our children, and then to the grandchildren, followed by great-grandchildren. Ann was a great mother and a good wife, she looked after me and the children with such tender love and care which continued after our separation I have remained in Australia, and because of different medical conditions over the past years, I'm now unable to travel at short notice, so have watched the videos and know that our children have stood tall to say farewell to their mother. Eighteen years, lots of good memories from the first dwelling, a garage at #2 Taverner St, Carterton while we built the house at the same address. We had many friends at that home, with Ann hosting many parties and BBQ's I have to admit that I have not had a lot of direct contact in the latter years but the children have kept me informed, particularly of her life with Brett, thank you Brett for being Ann's partner over the past years. Thank you to all for attending Annette's funeral service. Love you all dearly Peter McCarthy Bucketty Sydney
