Funeral service held at Dil's Funeral Services
My condolences to all the family on losing your beloved wife, mother & Ma. I'll always remember Val as a happy, chatty, caring lady who contributed much to the Club and our Ladies Day members. She was a great tennis player and we all looked forward to her luscious lunch plates. I know she was a great gardener & quilter and loved her overseas adventures organised by Peter. RIP Val .
Dear Val, remembered with love. Peter and Val and girls stayed with us in Hungerford Arcade, UK in the early 70's, when they tutored the girls while they were travelling. She was so talented and I was quite envious of the beautiful quilts she made. I will miss seeing her on my visits to NZ. So glad I saw and spent a little time with her last year.
When I think of Val, I think of calm happiness, laughter never far away, empathy and good sense guaranteed. When we embarked on the adventure of NBC together back in 1991 I had no doubt at all that we’d succeed. Val’s skills of course design and teaching have our students their best possible chance at learning. Her skills in communication and hospitality gave our teaching team the best possible chance of producing their best work. Her warmth and kindness made me and my family feel so welcome always. So grateful to have been part of your life. Much love Jane, Jo and Paul
