Peacefully at home with the Lord, aged 93, on December 7, 2023, at Palmerston North, previously of Levin, Titahi Bay and Silverstream. Dearly loved and loving wife of Noel (deceased). Loved and loving mother and mother-in-law of Steve and Shirley, Bruce and Bernadette, and Leigh White; Nana of Bex and Nick, Ross and Erin, Kat and Kev, Chloe and Charlie, Ollie and Lena, Zak and Hannah, Niko and Lily; Great-gran of Caleb, Micah, Asher and Eli, and soon to be born twin girls. A faithful follower of Jesus, well-respected nurse and friend to many. Grateful thanks to all the staff for their love and care at the Horowhenua Masonic Rest Home and Cook Street Care Centre. A Thanksgiving Service for Peggy will be held on Friday, December 15, at 1.30pm, at St Alban's Presbyterian Church, 339 Albert Street, Palmerston North. I have many memories of Peggy & Noel at St. Margaret's Silverstream, and also Peggy's involvement with APW (later called Presbyterian Women of Aotearoa).
Dear Peggy I will always remember your smile,your twinkly eyes, your strength of character, your kindness and sense of fun , your laugh and your interest and commitment to your family, friends and faith. You were a dear family friend and we will miss you. You lived a long, full life and now you can rest in peace. Much love Marian xx
