Tributes

What a lovely tribute to Mr Harris life. I knew Ronnie from childhood as Frances’s sister who worked with Ronnie from 70s to retirement. To keep to tradition, I also joined the practice as a dental nurse and have fond memories of all the team, patients and of course Mr H. RIP Mr Harris x

We joined via zoom and really felt part of the ceremony, so nice to see family & friends attending. Thanks to Jane for such a warm and heart felt look back into Ronnie's life. We met Ronnie in c1980 and enjoyed a 43 year friendship. A real gentleman was our experience and a great friend that will be sadly missed by many. Jane, hope to see you in Scotland during 2024. So privileged to have been a part of your life Ronnie. You have brought great joy to my dear friend, myself and my family. Your last journey has been traveled with the grace and dignity that you have lived by which we can only aspire to. Much love Shelley and the Skinner clan ❤️

Farewell to a lovely kind gentleman Ronnie. I will always remember the fun times we had with Jane and Ronnie in Scotland when I was on holiday with my daughter Michelle (gate crashing a wedding so we could have a picture with a ‘man in a kilt’). It was the first time I had met Ronnie and I thought he was such a kind and lovely man, a gentle soul. Ronnie and Jane also visited us at our bach at Whangaroa. We took them out on a friend’s yacht and had such a fabulous day. Chris went diving for scallops and we gorged ourselves until we could eat no more. Ronnie was so in awe of so many huge delicious scallops. Good times and such fond memories Ronnie. Rest in peace

This morning i look out from our verandah and am admiring the view of the bluest sea we have seen in sometime. Now i know why. The island is honoring you dear Ron. The news of your passing is still very fresh in our minds. Your way with people was amazing and your love for life so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your and Janes friendship with us; your crazy neighbors in Barbados. We miss you and often think of all our fun times we had together. You were the very definition of a “sweet sweet man”. Love to you Jane. Sam and Di Xoxoxox

Ronnie lived a life well lived and although he passed too soon he did not say no to the many opportunities he had in life. He will be remembered fondly by all that knew him.

What a beautiful tribute to a lovely human being. Jane, as you said in your eulogy, Ronnie was a gentle man and a true gentleman. His resilience and acceptance of such a cruel diagnosis, was amazing, and your loving care and support, second to none. He will be sadly missed by so many people all over the world. It was a privilege to have known him, albeit for a relatively short time.

Eileen Duff

Jane, Ronnie was such a nice man full of kindness and concern for others. It is sad but I am sure a relief to see him at rest and no longer having to suffer the pain of this dreadful disease.
