Its hard to believe Marie has now passed on to Heaven. I just heard today and wanted to pass on my condolences to you all. I have happy memories of time spent at Pauanui and Cooks Beach, and of course at your home, Ann. I remember Marie was such a vibrant, energetic, friendly and capable Lady. Listening to your lovely tributes, she was also a wonderful Mother and Grandmother too. Even though she is now with the Lord I know you will miss her very very much. May you take comfort in your beautiful memories of Marie, and in the sure knowledge you will see her again one day.

Marie, it was a great blessing to have you in my life. I will always remember your lovely smile, your kindness towards others, and your unwavering passion for God. Your presence will be greatly missed. May you rest in peace.
Marie we can so hear your words in our spirit: "Celebrate! Weep not for me though I have gone into that gentle night. Grieve if you will, but not for long upon my soul's sweet flight. I am at peace, my soul's at rest. There is no need for tears. For with your love I was so blessed for all those many years. There is no pain, I suffer not, the fear is all gone. Put now these things out of your thoughts in memory I live on. Remember not my fight for breath, remember not the strife. Please do not dwell upon my death but celebrate my life." Marie, it has been said that real friends are very hard to find. The one that stays when times are tough; a real friend; a lasting one. Even speaking prophetically over our lives! We will never find a better friend than we have found in you. Thank you for being that special friend to us, you will live on in our hearts. Farewell my dear "Amigo" for now and well done, good and faithful servant. Gabriele and Benjamin

We first met Marie through the Walk to Emmaus and were delighted when, some years later, she, Ann, Nick and family became our neighbours. We will always remember Marie as such a cheerful, gentle, kind woman of faith and will miss her. Our deepest condolences to the family and we are sorry that we will be away and unable to attend the service. Rest in peace Marie.
Marie, you have left such a legacy behind with your energetic energy - like your dancing at your 80th birthday party, like an 18 year old, plus your Seasons wonderful book, and our great trip to American cities then onto Fire Island. Lots of lovely memories until we meet again up with Jesus..
Marie Bishop played a huge part in my adult life while she lived in Zimbabwe. Her kindness and love, her incredible generosity, her steadfast faith, all were given without restraint. It was no coincidence that I called her Mom Bishop. I will always be truly thankful for her, for her life, and for her seemingly endless supply of laughter, smiles, and warmth. She was a woman worth knowing, and a woman worth loving. Thank you, Mom Bishop. Many of my best 'family' memories were spent as a part of yours.
To Craig & Anne & all of your families, so sorry to hear of Marie's passing, there are many fond memories of our families together, & Marie was a special friend to our late mum Sue, we are sorry we will be unable to attend the service for Marie, due to other commitments.
