Peacefully on 31 December 2023, with loving family at his side, aged 92 years. Loved husband of the late Ngawiki, and the late Eveline. Loved father and father-in-law of Charl, Linda and Nicholas, Carol and Finlay. Cherished Grandad of Sebastian, Alex, Will, Rosa, Trinity and Charl, and Great Grandfather to Sophie. Treasured cousin to Hazel Van Der Graaf. Darling dad, we will miss you always. A service to celebrate Charl's life will be held at All Souls Chapel, Purewa Crematorium, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank on Saturday 6 January at 11.00am. Dearest Dad It is hard to believe I won't see you again, it makes me weep. You were my number one cheer leader, always letting me know you had faith in me at whatever I did. I loved how you would do anything for your family we were your number one priority and your favourite people. Miss you Charles, my closest cousin and friend. We spent a lot of time together when we were younger. Even though we were a long distance apart, we always stayed in touch. Love you and miss you forever. Hazel.
