To Uncle Jeff's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you can take some solace from the many happy memories you have of your time shared with him.

Karl Hansen

Jeff and his late wife Bev were great friends to my parents Tom and Shirley Powdrell when we moved to Waitoki in the early 60's. I have many fond memories of the farm there, the summer haymaking, riding the vespa scooter up the cow races and getting zapped by the magneto when trying to put the carburettor upright after it had fallen down. My brother falling in love with one of the kittens ("we love him - we need him") that we took home and named Soxxy Jeff. It is rare in life to make friends for life which is what Jeff and Bev were to Mum and Dad. Condolences to the family on your loss, Jeff was certainly one of life's nice guys.

Murray Powdrell

Jeff was a wonderful person he always treated us all as family and our children like grand kids .Jeff will be so missed by so many people because of the love he always showed. I said at my mother's funeral that mum and Jeff may never have been married but I saw him as a step father and always will .So rest in peace Jeff you will always be remembered and loved by my family

Craig Mitchell

Jeff was a kind and caring man. He was a close friend of all of my family and their children, grand children etc. He was extremely generous to all that new him and especially to our mother, Pat Mitchell. Jeff will be missed by all that new him and most certainly by myself and my family. Hopefully Jeff will now be reunited with mum and other friends that left this world before him. May you rest in peace my friend. Kevin and family

Jeff was the good friend of our neighbour Pat Mitchell in Wellsford. He was a really nice guy with a vast local knowledge of the Kaipara area in general. Sincere sympathy to you the family in your loss.
