Don passed away peacefully with family by his side at Brydon Court Resthome, Hawera on Friday 15th December 2023. In his 99th year. Much loved husband of the late Anne. Loved and respected father and father-in-law of Bruce, Barry, Graeme & Margo, Fiona & Stephen Hicks, and Robert (dec) & Debbie (Perth W.A).Adored Poppa of Amanda & Terrence Dunn, Kirstin & James Thompson, Ellen and Brent Aston-Landers; Guy and Amy, Oliver & Molly, Toby; Samantha, Cody & Sheridan (W.A). A celebration of Don’s life will be held at the South Taranaki RSA, Princes Street Hawera on Saturday 13th January 2024, commencing at 1pm. A livestream of Don’s service will be available via his tribute page at www.hardingsfunerals.co.nz/tributes for those unable to attend. All welcome.

Poppa Don, I will remember you for your big heart and cheekiness. My birthday will never be the same without the phone call from you, that phone call always made my day. I am so lucky to be friends with your amazing family as I got to spend time at your house growing up and I am forever grateful for our recent chats at the RSA.
