Griffiths, Alexander Paul (Paulie)

Aged 65 Died on Tuesday, 2nd January 2024 at Waikato Hospital.

Dearly loved son of Val and Valerie Griffiths (also deceased). Much loved brother of John, Mark and Steve. Treasured by the wider family including his Auntie Betty, special cousins Maree and Graeme. Looked after by his primary carers Ana and Charmaine as part of Paul's IDEA Services wonderful family of support workers.

Paul, born with Down Syndrome, was a special person, who taught those who met him the meaning of love free of expectations. His life, although tinged with sadness was full of warmth and connection. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to IDEA services, whose carers treated Paul with great dignity and affection, and to whom we the family owe a great debt of gratitude.

A celebration of Paulie’s life will be held at Woolertons Funeral Home Chapel, 8 Railside Place, Hamilton on Friday, 12 January at 10:00am.
