With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Judy, at her home in Tauranga.
Beloved wife of the late Phil, mother of Mark and John, and grandmother to Cai, Toby, Joel, Faith and Ollie. Judy will be missed very much. The family would like to thank everyone close to Judy for all the great kindness and support shown. “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone Lord, make me dwell in safety” (Pslam4:8)

Vale judy. Last of the 'ginger' blackmans. There may not be light at the end of the tunnel, but enjoy the sound of big bang.
We well remember being welcomed by Phil and Judy into their home for a church Home Study Group when we arrived in Tawa in 1978. A very hospitable couple and ran a very good educational group. Judy was a friend with a special Taumarunui background - which is where Christine comes from - so were able to compare notes about the town. Judy was also well regarded for her teaching skills - a teacher at our local primary school. (Phil was also a Ministry of Works man who worked on the same floor as me in Head Office in Wellington.) Blessings as you give thanks for the life of Judy and the life skills and memories that she will have left with you (and all of us) at this time. Regards Christine and Bill Darnell
