Your dramatic talent often took second place to your ability to make people laugh. Piercing eyes and a gently rolling burr to your voice. Your stood large in my life. A wonderful actor, a good friend, a man I am proud to know

Norman. I remember the family get togethers especially around Christmas and New Years. You were always smiling and happy to share stories and jokes. A great sense of humour and a pleasure to be around for everyone. You are going to be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies to Auntie Sheila, Richard, Annie and families. RIP.

Rick

Sheila so sorry you have lost your soul mate. Both Brian and I enjoyed working with him in the theatre. Deepest condolences as I understand exactly how bewildering this time can be. Please feel free to contact me when you are ready. Faye Flegg

Norman has been a much loved member of our Logan Campbell community and has made a great contribution to Village life, especially with involvement in ukulele and choir and looking after Blossom. Many of us have really enjoyed Norman’s lovely sense of humour and I personally have huge admiration and respect for his resilience, attitude, and adaptability this past 12 months.

His wit, a spark of lightning, so quick and so bright - a master of banter, maestro of delight. His love for Sheila, it knew no bounds, a love story that in Scotland's hills, still resounds. A father he became, by choice, not by decree - he always did so love Richard and me. A wonderful grandad, adored them with such mirth, he truly was an angel, here upon this earth. In song and in garden, his legacy thrives, as we honour this great man, who touched all of our lives.

Annie

Norman - you were a wonderful person in my family world. Your delightful sense of humour made me laugh so many times and watching you and Sheila together was very special. We shared so many lovely moments over the years and you were a real grandfather to our son - albeit sometimes a dreadful influence (poker... aged 7?). Thank you for all the tears and laughter. Now someone else has taken over the toast and cup-of-tea duty - hope they can make it properly!
