Hunter Callaghan-Stirling peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the tender age of 14, earning her angel wings.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects as Hunter lies in state at Wairuru Marae, Waihau Bay, starting from Monday, January 15. A heartfelt service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 11:00 am, followed by the burial at the Stirling Urupa, Waihau Bay.

I live in England but saw your daughters grave whilst visiting the beautiful church where she’s buried. I hope you don’t mind me sending this message - but my heart went out to you as I’m also a mother who has lost her beautiful daughter too soon, so I know the pain. My daughter, Claire was 33 and died almost 7yrs ago. I could see by the grave how loved your daughter was. It was so very moving, I had a cry for her and for her loving family and friends.
