Funeral service held at Manukau Memorial Gardens Chapel
The first thought that came to my mind when I awoke the morning of 23 January 2024 was Norma’s funeral service. I went to work and asked my boss if I could go, thankful she said yes. I am grateful to God for Norma and being part of the Celebrate Recovery team at Calvary Community Church and Papatoetoe SDA Community Church. It was an honour to serve with her. It was a blessing to hear Norma continued to live out the principles of Matt 5: 3-12. In our CR journeys, we were real, accepted, supported and loved. Norma has left an inspiring and empowering legacy of what it truly means to live a blessed life here on earth as we move forward towards eternity. ♥️
I met Norma at Counselling Services and became good friends with her, she came and house sat for us a couple of times, came and had dinner numerous times, came over on Christmas nights when she wasnt with family. She was a lady who loved people and had a faith in God. When we spoke with her just before Christmas she sounded in such distress with her breathing we are glad she is at peace. Sorry I couldnt be there today but I will be watching online
