Lawson, Lorna Mary (nee Eaton):
Aged 88 years. Passed away peacefully after a short illness, on Saturday 20th January 2024, at Westport Hospital with family by her side. Dearly loved wife of Peter (dec), dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Shirley and Peter Ellingsen (Melbourne), Anne and Pat Moll (Wellington), Doug and Thora (Kaikoura), Chris and Deb (Ngakawau), and Phillip and Sue (Christchurch). Adored Grandmother of 16, and Great Grandmother of 26.
Special thanks to the staff at Westport Hospital for the care and kindness shown to Lorna.
A Rosary for Lorna will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Grays Lane, Kaikoura, on Wednesday 24 January at 7pm. A Requiem Mass on Thursday 25 January 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, at 1pm, followed by interment at Kaikoura Cemetery.

We had the privilege of meeting Lorna the matriarch of the Lawson family last year. Immediately saw the remarkable love of life that she has passed on to her granddaughter who is married to our son. Rest in peace Lorna who lived life to the full
Lorna you’re so loved by Lou and Koa and all of the kids. What a funny lady, great yarns with you will be missed. Rest in peace Lorna.
