Thinking of you all today, To Berwyn, thankyou for always having a bed for me, always a warm smile when life was a bit gritty, wee chats in the kitchen, best Marmite toast, cuppa and watching prisoner.

Dear sweet Nana, Thank you for being exactly who you were. For the legacy you’ve left by the family you created. For always caring about and praying for us (your grandchildren in Australia) even though we didn’t get to see each other very often. Your love and prayers have meant so much all these years, in particular over the last two years with the journey to finally having our baby boy. I am so sorry that I’m unable to be there in person to celebrate your life and honour you tomorrow. You deserve to be celebrated and honoured in such a big way, and we will do that with our lives every day. Sending all of my love to Shanley, Denise, my mummy Jackie, Michelle, Maxine and Janine as you farewell your beloved mother, and to Grandad Harry, as you say goodbye for now to the love of your life. And to all my cousins, and their families, how incredible that we are all here, and our children are all here, because of our beautiful Nana. Sending my love to you all as well, may each of us continue to make her proud of the legacy she has left. Rest peacefully my darling Nana, I will love you forever. “We’re all just walking each other home” - Ram Dass - Joy
