We hung out with the McLeod whanau many moons ago in Devonport, with camps and youth stuff. Such a good man, with a great heart who was always real and genuine.

I met Dave 13 years ago through work and we have worked together every since on several projects each year. We instantly became friends and l always looked forward to working with him, he was a lovely guy with a pleasant nature and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. We always had a good chat about life,he will be sadly missed.

I met David 45 years ago. Many childhood memories are wrapped up with the McLeod family. I loved staying over, making pretend shops, riding bikes,, nipping up to the dairy for a 10 cent mixture. Such wonderful memories. Having no brothers David was like one to me. Laughter, fun, endless summer fun. He was gentle, kind and non judgmental. He made the world a better place simply by being in it. Such terrible sadness at such a great loss of a dear man.

Dave, we met in our 20’s at Belmont Baptist bible study and remained friends off and on since. Your laughter and humour was infectious. when your struggles became too much, we waved you off on the ferry to Orama, GBI. You were a real nice guy, Dave, and you left us too soon.
