A really neat guy, full of laughter, a keen fishing partner, on a wharf , out at the graveyard Kaipara harbour enjoyed his gardening trying new plants. Helped us when needed which we were so thankful for. In mens group the life and soul of the party. An ardent antipasto eater. Remains in our memory. Tony Tyler

Dave, we will always remember you for your kindness and for your generosity. You were very much appreciated and loved. Thanks for the chats we had at the family camp when I came over, again just showing who you were. All our love and prayers for Fleur, Laura and Caleb, and Lorraine, Malcolm, Michael, Rachel and families.
We hung out with the McLeod whanau many moons ago in Devonport, with camps and youth stuff. Such a good man, with a great heart who was always real and genuine.
I met Dave 13 years ago through work and we have worked together every since on several projects each year. We instantly became friends and l always looked forward to working with him, he was a lovely guy with a pleasant nature and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. We always had a good chat about life,he will be sadly missed.
I met David 45 years ago. Many childhood memories are wrapped up with the McLeod family. I loved staying over, making pretend shops, riding bikes,, nipping up to the dairy for a 10 cent mixture. Such wonderful memories. Having no brothers David was like one to me. Laughter, fun, endless summer fun. He was gentle, kind and non judgmental. He made the world a better place simply by being in it. Such terrible sadness at such a great loss of a dear man.
Dave, we met in our 20’s at Belmont Baptist bible study and remained friends off and on since. Your laughter and humour was infectious. when your struggles became too much, we waved you off on the ferry to Orama, GBI. You were a real nice guy, Dave, and you left us too soon.
Dave will always be remembered for his gentle, kind and considerate ways, his happy laughter and the fun he bought to the family camp endeared him to us all. He was always so good with all the children. We are at a loss for words to express our sadness for the great loss of our Gentle Giant. All our love ❤ and prayers 🙏 for Fluer, Laura and Caleb, Lorraine, Malcolm, Michael, Lesa, Rachel,Dean and families. May you all know His undergirding love and strength through the difficult days ahead.
Dearly loved nephew of Jeannie and Robert Wood and awesome big cousin of the late Brook Wood. We are absolutely devastated at the loss of this wonderful soul. Such precious memories of the time you spent staying with us David. Much love to Fleur, Laura and Caleb as they adjust their lives without their much loved husband and father
A much loved, gentle man. We remember with smiles the games you and Fleur led at Family Camp and our good times there. "He will swallow up death forever. and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces." Isaiah 25:8
Dave we will miss your gentle nature. Your humour and the interest you showed in those around you. Rest now in your Father's loving arms.
