Henry, Edward Elgar (Elgar):

Passed away at home with family present on Saturday, 10 February 2024.

Loved husband of the late Josephine; married for 73 years.

Loved by his children Yatra, Glenys, Graeme, and Pam.

Leaving great memories for his grandchildren Dylan, Miro, Juanita, Hannah and his great grandchildren Xanthe, Lillian, Margaux and Emilie.

Dearly loved by his late sister Edna Stewart.

Elgars contribution to the community included Education, Rotary, Probus, sailing in the Waikato Yacht Squadron, and singing in the Cantando choir.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful support from Enliven carers, Dr Marilyn Griffith – Flagstaff Medical Centre, and St Johns Ambulance who all enabled his wish to die at home.

A service to celebrate Elgar’s life will be held on Saturday the 17 February at 11 am, at The Park Chapel, Morrinsville Road, Newstead, Hamilton followed by private cremation.
