BUCHAN, Nola May (Shaw, Nee Castle):
Peacefully, with family by her side at Thornleigh Park Rest Home on Friday, 9 February, 2024 in her 96th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Jack Shaw. Treasured Mum of Mike & Suzanne, Anne (dec) & Pete, Mark (dec) & Buie, Paul, Kath & Jim, Terry, Yvonne, and Lisa. Cherished Nana of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Special friend of Bronlee, and Scott.

Requiem Mass for Nola will be celebrated at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Powderham Street, New Plymouth, on Friday 16 February 2024 at 11am followed by her burial at Awanui Cemetery. Rosary will be prayed in the church on Thursday evening at 6pm. R.I.P

It was indeed an absolute priviledge to meet and enjoy the company of Nola during our time as patients in Ward 4B TDHB. We were in a 4 bed room and Nola was such an interesting, lovely room mate for Kaye Scouller (RIP) Myra Hayman and myself. Nola talked about a book that she valued very much which I have bought from the UK since. Ten Degrees of Reckoning. Rest peacefully Nola, with love, Vonda and Myra
