RUDGE, John McLean; Passed away peacefully on Friday 23 February 2024 in Nelson after a short illness. Aged 92. Much loved son of Alan and Gwendoline, father of Mandy, Chris and Jeremy, grandfather of Phoebe, Tom, Tara, Yonah, Levi, Sarah and Amber; and great grandfather of Eden, Gabriel, Malachi, Georgia and Alfie. Also much loved by the family’s partners, extended family and friends. A celebration of John’s life will be held in the Chapel of Christ by the Lake, 8 Rotoiti Street, St Arnaud on Saturday 2 March 2024 at 11.00am. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed online at www.shoneandshirley.com/tributes.

To John's family ... I worked with John during his tenure as Director of Nelson Provincial Museum when it was based in Isel Park. How lovely to see that John had reached the status of Great Grandfather ... and I can imagine how proud he was of you all.
