You were a dear friend and a wonderful neighbour Huck. From the start you welcomed us to Matangi Terrace and with all the kindness you showed and the many helpful things you did for us, we certainly agreed with your unofficial title..."Mayor of Matangi". We admired your great knowledge about so many things and the way you could turn your hand to anything, always ready to help everyone where you could. We had some good times, some good laughs together and shared many good stories. We loved and respected you Huck, and will miss you very much. May you Rest In Peace our friend.

Harold Dear Man , we are at a lost for words to the news that was delivered to us this week 😕 You were the most amazing person who brought comfort in our most awful time of loss , from bringing the bins up to dropping in for a chat (loved them) . You were the most amazing man and we will miss you deeply . R.I.P Harold ❤️

Uncle Harold, you spent time with us as kids, which was precious to us. The holidays we had with you when we were young are good memories. You taught me how to pull watches apart and put them back together again - hence now my love of clocks and anything that ticks. The funny stories you told and the similar characteristics we share, lemon curd, toast on our butter, mustard and fudge cake. You have been a great Uncle to all of us, we will miss your stories, your fun loving nature and passing down of your skills. We will remember you with fondness.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Huck twice but it was evident from our brief encounters that he was a high-quality individual with a big heart. He was a man of many talents and I'll never forget the two beautiful handcrafted pens that he gave me the first time that I met him. I use them all the time. You will be missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace. Love, Ryan and the Marso Family

Huck was a musician, a watchmaker, a craftsman, a handyman, a story-teller and an all-round good guy. You were always there for us from the moment we arrived in New Zealand in 2005. Your wealth of knowledge and skills were often sought. Thank you for all of your help over the years. We loved your genuine, straight up personality and cheeky laugh. We will miss you Huck. You will always be remembered and will live in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace Huck! Lots of love Rodney and Leanne xoxo
