Wilbur , A man of great faith, A true Christian gentleman . A very talented, skilled and dedicated Surgeon. He was instrumental in inspiring us trainees when he was the Tutor Specialist at Middlemore Hospital. A giant in the surgical fold, who pioneered and performed a variety of surgical procedures over the last 4 decades. Wilbur was a shining example to all of us and led by example, working indefatigably into the long hours of the night, putting his patients first always. It has been a privilege and honour to work with Wilbur. All those who came into contact with Wilbur , saw the Christ like qualities he displayed. I am sure he will meet HIS Creator and receive the words" well done good and faithful servant, come now and receive the crown of righteousness, given to all who believe in Christ our Saviour" and earn a well-deserved rest for eternity.
