Our hearts break for you all. HE WAS A GOOD BUGGER! - Gone too soon. We will miss him too but have lots of lovely memories and photos. So glad we did that cruise with Ian & Barb back in 2018. XX

Ian. You phenomenal man. You were such a presence in my life when I was a teenager, we were rebellious and ‘independent’. I spent a lot of time at the Cunningham (TrickyPig) home, and you allowed us to be the teenagers we were through guidance and non-judgement. I always respected you and I know that respect was returned in the way you nurtured us all. Thank you for being that person. I wish I could be there in person to properly celebrate your life and pay tribute to the memories you gave me. I will watch from the UK instead. I will ensure to raise a glass to you today, and I will forever draw on memories to keep you alive in my heart. All my love, Theresa (Twiggy)

I had the pleasure as a kid in Palmerston North to grow up alongside the Cunningham family. Lots of fun & great childhood memories. My mum & dad cherished both Ian & Barb’s friendship. Always laughing when together! I remember Ian as a calm, strong man who was an amazing father. Barb, Melissa, Anna, Brad & families, I send all my love & will be thinking of you through this sad time. Rest in peace Ian, Emilly xx
