John passed away peacefully on Sunday, 31 August 2025, aged 88. 

Dearly loved husband of Jean. Dearly loved father of Anne, Margaret, and Fiona; father-in-law of Lance and Bruce. Loved poppa of Mel, Tom, Alannah, Bryce, Tayla, Brendon, and Josh. Great-grandpoppa of Cohen, Mia, Carson, Wolfe, George, and Hayden. Peace at last.

A service for Noel will be held at Trinity St Paul's Union Parish of Cambridge, 43 Queen Street, Cambridge 3434, on Thursday, 4 September 2025, at 11:00am, followed by the interment at Piako Cemetery, Morrinsville 3300.
