Was lovely to attend the service today virtually from Dunedin; unfortunately due to work and other commitments I wasn't able to be there in person. Suzy was such a kind, caring lady; as Matt said she was a Super-mum, even to kids that weren't her own. Always willing to include others, especially those of us who didn't come from loving homes, in family events and activities, and putting up with my loud enthusiastic voice when I hung out with Steven far too late at night playing video games.

So sad ,so soon, Suzy you touched so many. I was blessed to be with you one more time before you left us. You will be missed by many. Thoughts of you will always be in my mind.

I have just found out! I am in total shock. You, me and Chrissy from Form 3, NPHS onwards. You loved Suzy Quattro, Chrissy = Donny Osmond, me = Rick Springfield. Our lives took different paths but we remained close regardless. Still in disbelief but my sincerest condolences to Errol and all of you who have been touched by Suzy 💕

My Dear friend What a shock when I heard you were passing away! Suzy what an amazing mum, wife and mum #2 of Caleb. You had such a positive impact on staff, students and families at Moturoa and Westown schools and all those around you. To me, I am grateful for our friendship. Calling you at a certain time of night so not to disturb your fav programme. You laughing at me for not recognising you, because I did not expect you to answer Caleb' s phone last month. The laughs, the tears, over the years. Your crafts, you were very clever. Suzy I will miss you. Till we meet again Suzy. Lynette Adams

I was so shocked to hear of Suzy’s passing. My thoughts go out to you Errol and Matthew at this extremely sad time. We enjoyed many fun moments at Moturoa School over the years and you were a warm welcoming hostess at gatherings that were held at your house. You always thought of others first even though you experienced many sad times within your own family. At peace now with your beloved children Steven and Melissa. Shirley

Firstly to Errol, Matthew, and Suzy’s extended family, my love and condolences to you all. Suzy….meaning joyful, vibrant and cheerful! My dear friend, that sums you up. The quintessential mother figure- big hearted, welcoming, organised, and always willing to help others. Remember # We met just prior to Melissa stating school. #Became colleagues when you became school secretary # and soon formed a close friendship Then came the fun….becoming Weed Wackers…. (Helping friends with working bees )….trips to Auckland and Wellington for visiting shows ( and a wee drop or three afterwards)…..games/ quiz nights ….. travelling to America with Errol and Stephen ….Remember taking a wrong turn out of Disneyland, after a very long day?. getting hopelessly lost in a hotel and not being able to find our room.?we even managed to get disorientated in Fremantle for goodness sake. So much to remember. , Suzy I am so glad we had a chance to share one last embrace of hello, and one last kiss and wave of farewell. You will always be in my thoughts, as I imagine you among your beloved angels, knitting for the cherubs, cross-stitching pictures for the other angels, and keeping a watchful, motherly eye on us all. I love you my dear friend, Diane

To my darling baby sis, I cannot express how broken my heart is. We didn't expect this outcome, so sick so suddenly and no prewarning.
