Dearest Linda and family, Our heartfelt thoughts, prayers and condolences to you all. God bless and comfort you all always.🙏🏽❤ Thank you Wayne for being a true friend, gentleman and brother. You were always so kind, humble, empathetic and caring of others. Of all the wonderful - and funny - memories I have of you during our time working as Teacher Aides at Waitakere College, my favourite one - and I can just see it on your beaming face right now as I'm writing - is seeing that humungous smile, your eyes all lit up and the most proudest look on your face whenever you spoke to us of your darling Linda and your precious children and grandchildren. Rest in love sir. ❤ Always, Your friend Molly (Molls/Woppy) and family.🤗

Remembering our times together as kids - playing at Nana and Poppa’s house, going to Takapuna beach to name just a few. You were always kind and loving and I know this is how you were all through your life. Although we hadn’t seen one another much in the last few years, that love has never dimmed. Goodbye my darling cousin, love and hugs to Linda, Allyce and Joseph and family.

I met Wayne when I first arrived in Aotearoa. We became friends almost instantly. Wayne’s smile, strength, openness and humble spirit in my mind are the image of the New Zealand I will always love. He introduced me to his beautiful extended family, and together with my family we spent unforgettable moments. Linda, Allyce, Joe, Karen and Steve please accept our deepest condolences. Though we are far away, we will always hold you near. Buon viaggio Wayne!

Wayne was truly one of a kind. I've never encountered anyone quite like him—so genuine and caring beneath his stoic exterior. One memory of him stands out vividly: when I was saying goodbye to my son Toby at the airport before heading to NY, Wayne showed up unexpectedly to support me through it. As emotions overwhelmed me, he reminded me that I had made the decision and knew what I was doing, I followed his strength and it got me through . His words, though I can't recall them exactly, something like: you made this decision, you know what you’re doing you got this lady!! reassured me immensely. It meant the world to me that he was there, offering his unwavering support out of the blue. That was Wayne—a man who always showed up when it mattered most. Though he's on a different journey now, I know he'll be watching over his family ,beautiful Linda, Joe, his little family, and Allyce and her beautiful family Wayne's presence will forever be felt, and his legacy of kindness always remains 💔 Have a blast Wayne wherever you are you awesome man
