I had the very great privilege of meeting Perry and Barbara and their family when I visited them with Joni in January of 2020. Every morning at breakfast there was an impromptu Bible study and Perry brought out so many wonderful truths and observations… my husband Gavin is a prison Chaplain, and Perry helped so much with advice for the ministry- advice we still treasure and use. His encouragement and gift of Bibles ( King James,of course!) is something we will always thank the Lord for. Perry’s ministry has reached Alaska, and still continues on as we meet with the prisoners each Sunday for services. Some friendships are golden, and this is truly one of them. Love to all the Mitchell family. You are his legacy. We will be praying for you… Isaiah 41:10. Renee

Thank you for providing the live stream of the service. It was a blessing to watch and be reminded of the faithful man Perry is. His love for God and his care for others are a testimony that will last. We send our love to all the family and are thinking of you all and will continue in prayer for you. In my mind I put my hand up when Aaron mentioned about raising your hand if Perry had done some work on your car. I remember popping in to Sherrif St, Rotorua on occasions to get some mechanical help or advice. I remember when Perry and Barbara heading off from Rotorua to Nelson to start the Church there. What a blessing that they were faithful to the Lord and he has used them both to reach and teach many over the years. While Perry now enjoys face to face fellowship with the Lord and other friends who have gone on to heaven ahead of us. The legacy he has left is an inspiration to us all and I trust the Mitchell family will continue his legacy by serving the Lord wherever they are.

Mt.25.23 "His Lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the Joy of thy Lord" We Praise our Heavenly Father for the privilege of counting Perry & Barbara as our friends. Perry's quiet voice as he spoke of His Saviour will continue to be a wonderful memory in our hearts for years to come. He indeed was an incredible trophy of grace and enriched, not only our lives, but many others also. His faithfulness to his; Lord, wife, family, church, and friends was a rich testimony to the faithfulness of our Saviour. We have no doubt Perry has entered into the Joy of His Lord and we will meet again. The last time we saw Perry & Barbara ( never saw the one without the other!!) was when they visited us in our home in Balfour. They were in Queenstown ministering to the saints there- even though they were drawing near to eternity. They were serving the Word to the saints in need! We are both so thankful for their visit and they would always go out of their way to be a blessing. Love you both very much in Christ Jesus. Thinking of and praying for you sister Barb. May the God of all comfort make His presence known to you in a special way today. Love & Blessing Clive & Lorna.

Perry, you will be sorely missed, you have been a close friend and confidant, a sincere brother in the LORD. Perry was a very selfless person who would give you the shirt off of his back, and figuratively speaking he did that many times for me and my family. I lost count of how many times we sat at the dining table with you and Barb and the kids, they were great times. The times they bought us food when we had none, they more family to us than anyone else. I am sorry that Dawn and I could not make it to the service, but know we will be thinking of you all and praying for you through this time. Philippians 1:21-23 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Perry, it is your time now to go and be with Christ, till we meet again mate. Love you Brother PaulC
