I walked through the gate Feb '83 and stood in front of this man (and others of the same cut) whose challenge it was to turn me into a sailor. By April '83 I thought this might not be the place for me. Whare (and a hovering Poi) sat me down and told me "Boy. You are exactly where you're supposed to be. Wind your head in!" 23 later and I walked out the gate knowing that I would do it all again. Privileged to join and serve in a time where your biggest mentors went on to become lifelong friends. Grateful to have served and shared the adventure with you Brother.
