Fraser mate about 6 weeks ago i was out Pirinoa and stopped at Carmens to ask if you were still on the farm they told me you were in Mikimiki so i never hot to see you. You were a top man and remain in my heart and memories. I found out today while i was at work so didnt have a chance to go to the funeral but many moons ago you helped me when my marriage failed you were my rock then. Fly free my friend. John

That was a beautiful service for a lovely man. Even though you were the other side of the earth you were always recognised as very much part of the Burnett family and it was lovely to see that Scottish connection referenced in the pipes as you left. I was so fortunate to get to spend time with you and Cameron in Auckland in 2019 and again with Kiri and your family just last year at your home where you made me so welcome.
