Auntie Anne came into my life in NZ as a youngster When we moved onto London we would have flying visits from she and Uncle Hilton. She introduced me to all the interesting, fun activities, sweeping me up with her sparkling enthusiasm. On my visit at 18 she spoilt me with strawberries and cream on the lawn at Wimbledon. As my brothers entered the scene she embraced them as well. Our catch-ups have been erratic depending on what part of the world everyone was residing in but every occasion left you full of good humour and happiness. She was elegant, colourful, full of fun, prepared to try anything and would do anything for you. My last memory was as we sailed out of Auckland Harbour, she and her close friend were waving a sheet off their balcony (obviously aided and abetted by brother David who was visiting ) saying farewell So many happy memories Auntie Anne 💋

Peter, Paul and Mark, What a lovely service. Joy and I both watched it from Alberta. It was such a nice tribute from you all, heart-breaking and heart-warming at the same time. I have great memories of living with you all in Putney way-back-when and remembering that Aunty Anne never yelled at me when I spilt ink on her yellow carpet. She also let me help with the braid and velvet on her boxes which was great fun. More recently, I am so glad that she was able to visit us in Canada. We all had a lovely dinner in Banff and Anne and my husband, Douglas, sang 40's show tunes all the way home. Please know that we are thinking of you and wishing we were not so far away. All our love. Laara, Douglas and Joy.
