We are very sorry to read today of your loss Goughie, a shock to us both as Sheila looked so well the last time we saw you both, with her usual cheerful banter. We really appreciated how welcome you made us feel those years back, your support and kindness was always felt. We are thinking of you, disappointed we missed today. Will be in touch, take care x
Sheila. We met 44 years ago in Maungaturoto. You and Graham were always a huge part in our family’s life. Our families just melded together and your love was a huge part of that. Your smile was infectious . So many great memories. RIP lovely lady. My two Angels together to watch over the rest of us.
It has taken me (Peta) time to think about what I’d say about you. Aunty Sheila, you have always been fun, beautiful, caring, loving and the most amazing person. You were the coolest Aunt, the one who never judged, would hold your secrets……especially having a smoke together in the bathroom at a family function. It’s so not fair that we’re losing you so soon; when you still have so much life to live. This horrid disease that has caused so much heartache and pain; that has stolen what is meant to be the best years of your life. The world is not going to be the same without you! You lit up any room when you walked into. Your poise and beauty; your smile and grace! You leave us all with happy memories! I’m sorry I didn’t visit you in these last months. I wanted to but I couldn’t see you unwell. In the times that we spoke, you told me it was ok! Thats the person you were! Thinking of others. I’ll remember our last time together. Celebrating my 50th. I will always be grateful for that. I have wonderful memories of being with you and Uncle Graham when I was young! Such happy memories! I have always been in awe of your marriage! I’ve never known two people that after all these years, still look at each other with such love. You’ve always been in love and I wish this kind of love for all of us! Aunty Sheila, I know you’ll be at peace. No more pain. You lived your life to the very end, how you wanted. Surrounded by those who love you so much and in the hearts of the rest of us that didn’t make it. Be free of this disease my darling Aunty. I know Grandma, grandad, your siblings and everyone that went before you, will be there to welcome you when you reach heaven. I know you’ll look down on us and shower us with love. Rest in peace and love! ❤️
