Uncle Alan, we spoke about a dream I had recently of you moving over to Coolangatta to live in a house right by the beach with a pool. I told you I was going to move in and you just laughed, and said that it sounded like the best dream ever. I hope you are now resting sitting by the beach in the house with a pool wherever you are. You are going to be greatly missed and have left a huge hole in all our hearts. Until we meet again. Rest in love.

Hi to those who don't know me, my name is Steve Richardson known as Big Steve. I got to know Alan around 1973 while flatting in Wellington St, Papakura, Alan moved in to the flat next door,from there we started our friendship. At the time he raced a Falcon Ute at Mere Mere Drag Strip. From there he raced the white Torana at Pukekohe, I used to go along to help where needed, from there we did a lot together and for one another. No matter where in the world we were we kept in touch,I came home in 2019 and started seeing a lot of each other again. Alan would do anything for anyone. Rest in peach my Friend and thanks for everything, you were one of a kind, and you will not be forgotten.
