Barry, I have never forgotten you from our school days together at St Joseph's in Takapuna. We went right through primary school together and notably, we shared a desk in what was then Standard 4 and often drove our teacher, Sister Francis Mary, to distraction.. You visited my home some weekends too and I vividly and fondly remember how kind you were and what fun we had. When I look at your photo now, I see absolutely the boy in the man. You did not age in looks, Barry, and I note the beautiful words to you from your family and friends that tell me clearly, that you retained those special, endearing qualities all your life. It is with sadness now that I learn of your death and extend my sincere sympathy to your family and friends. You were a loved school friend and I shall never forget you.
