Maureen and I have very fond memories of Muriel visiting us in our new house in Wanganui, stopping with us at our place in North Hollywood California, going on a coach trip from there where being so keen to see as much as she could of the country got the reputation of being first off the coach at all the sightseeing stops and the last one to be back onboard. I also remember taking her up Lankershim Blvd to purchase a waterbed and talking the salesperson into just getting the mattress part and getting a copy of the plans for the wooden base. Such happy memories, our thoughts go out to her family for their sad loss. Maureen, Geoff and our family in America, God bless you Muriel, Rest in Peace

It was a real blessing to have known Muriel for so many years,up until 6 months ago.Muriel was one of the kindest people I have ever met,Always offering me and others rides from the Uniterian church, Spritualist Alliance, plus Golden Light &McKelvie St Ponsonby church for 20 years.I would often talk to her on the phone,we sent each other Christmas/birthday cards, plus she even let me use her house to get dressed in my wedding gown, and atteneded my wedding and helped decorate our wedding cake.!Such a lovely funeral service I watched online, loved everything,Sending my deepest sympathy to Glenn and family. There are so many wonderful memories of Muriel, she was a real diamond, great sense of humour,we had so many laughs and chats,a great friend, such a lovely lady,a great healer.Muriel always asked me how my husband was as he is sick for life.Always welcomed me into her home for tea and biscuits. She will be always remembered, loved and cherished.Love and light Andrena Vandenheuvel.xx
Thoughts and sincere sympathies to Glenn and the family of Muriel Kett. I was so honoured and blessed to know such a kind and generous soul and to attend her warm and loving service. You always felt she had a feisty passion for life and genuine fondness for like-minded people. It was so special to share in the memories at her service and to admire her even more. Such an inspirational beautiful soul that I am sad to farewell but happy in knowing that she now has freedom in the afterlife she had absolute faith in. Her loving spirit will continue in some way in all her descendants and in spirit she will nurture each and every one of you. Kindest Regards Leon Reynolds Enchanted Rose Florist.
I will always remember 'The Ketts" from Park Avenue, Mrs Kett was an elegant, graceful lady and a great friend to Aunty Pat and the boys. Janine and I became an addition to the Ward family and enjoyed the same friendship. At peace now and returned to loved ones of old. "May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face. And may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars". Gone but not forgotten.
