Tributes

As neighbours our lives were intertwined through location and circumstance with the attendant trials and tribulations. Summers spent in our backyard tents were a highlight and the endless games of monopoly that always ended in arguments. We went to scouts together where we learnt the joys of sailing and camping. I do apologise for sabotaging your volocettes oil feed and getting you sprayed with oil but you seem to have forgiven me. I also apologise on behalf of my siblings for throwing crackers and fireworks at your house every guy fawkes night. Oddly my best memory of you was visiting you in hospital 2 days before your death. You were so positive about your future and full of the plans you were forming on what you were going to do when you were released. It assumed up your character so well in one unforgettable moment. Your unexpected departure shocked us all and you will be sorely missed.

RIP David, I really enjoyed our catch ups over the years and am so glad we managed to squeeze in some time together with Pam at Cornwallis. Thanks for being a part of my childhood and teenage years, for Boromia, Wilderland, your advice for Toby who seems to be tracking in your footsteps, for just being a chill and kind guy, I will miss you. Love Debbie x

Dave was a neat guy. I kept in touch with him by phone as I now live in Katikati.
