Passed away peacefully at Whakatane Hospital, surrounded by all his whanau.

Son of James (Jim) Joseph Murphy Snr and Marata (nee Hirama) Murphy.  Dearest brother to Delia Higgins (Deceased) Barbara Vincent, Crete Rutene, Colleen Honeycombe, Rikki Hika, Terry Murphy (Deceased) Maureen Wilson and Raewyn Murphy.  Husband to Dawn Ririnui-Murphy.  Adored father of James, Angela, and Awhina, and loving dad to Jade.

He will be dearly missed by all his mokopuna, whanau and friends.

Jim will lay in state at 9 Rata Street for the duration of his tangihanga. Ra nehu will be Monday 15th April at 9 Rata Street at 11:00am with burial at Rangitahi Urupa.
