Bereavement pānui on behalf of the Shepherd and Conrad whānau, regarding the loss of their Mum, Gail Elizabeth Shepherd, who passed away yesterday in Helena Bay.

E te toka tū moana, hotuhotu nei te ngākau i tō rironga atu. He takere i haea, he waka kua tahuri. Kua pōhara tō iwi o Te Aupōuri i tō ngarohanga atu. Tere atu tō waka wairua ki te awa o roimata kua ringiringi mātou mōu, ki ō wheinga e tatari mai nā. Hōea, hōea, haere oki atu rā.

Mum is currently in care at Haven Falls where all are welcome to come. There will be dinner at 7.30pm while we wait for her. When she is released from here we will have a small service before we depart to take her home to Morningside. Mum will lay in her whare for one night. At 9am tomorrow there will be a full Police Service at Haven Falls where all are welcome again. After this we will depart to Potahi Marae in Te Kao to take our Mum home. Tangihanga details will be shared and confirmed when we get to Te Kao. We kindly ask for immediate whānau only at our whare in Morningside tonight so we can spend some time with our Mum.
