What an aunty. As a young whippet I recall her skills as a policewomen, piano player, professional educator, world traveller, gardener, story teller and a wonderful host. I'll also never forget the day I underestimated her speed, and she beat me in a sprint up the driveway at Surrey Cres. In later life we would have great talks about international travel and issues in present day education. She certainly knew her stuff. She will be missed by many all around the world. A great aunt, and a great lady.

Goodbye Lesley, I have many memories of you to remember and also many stories and events that have happened involving you and Andrew, the children and also the grandchildren. We had some good trips around Germany, UK and France with you and Keith. I think I will always associate you with the lovely roses you grew at the house in Roberts Line, your impressive recycling skills, the sewing projects you loved to make, your curries, your zest for life and your desire to discuss topical educational issues with Andrew. And not to forget Tatty and Squeak of course. I know if Andrew was alive today he would whole heartedly agree with Donald’s comments and of course, being the older brother he paved the way for those things to happen. Andrew was most impressed with your driving lessons as he was with your Fiat Bambina! He admired your artistic skills, your desire to travel, your thirst for learning new vocabulary which flowed over into him, especially as you would spontaneously test him on various words. I do remember that! Be assured that Andrew loved you very much and loved being part of the family. He had many loving stories to recall from his days of growing up. What a great life you’ve had. Love from us all

Lesley was a god mom to me and lingston. We met at Palmerston north four decades ago. She took care of us during university days, attended our graduation, our wedding, god nana to our children, visits to leave sweet memories. Her kindness, her love especially what she mentioned “ you are our family” which will remain forever in our hearts and keep us warm. All our love Tham and lingston
