Passed away peacefully, 84 years of age, on Saturday 20 April 2024, at Elizabeth Knox Resthome. Denis was born on 15 March 1940 in Staines UK, to the late Frank and Eleanor Batchelor. He worked as an electrician and computer technician on some of the first computers in the world. He displayed a wonderful nack of DIY and calmly solving problems. Denis married Pauline Vickers in 1961 and had three children before immigrating from the UK to NZ with a young family. Denis was community minded and spent many years coaching and managing North Shore football clubs and in Kiwanis. He loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Pauline, brothers David and Peter, his children Andrew, Natalie, John and grandchildren Conrad, Lauren, Alex and Abigail. A private family memorial service will be held on Saturday 27 April 2024.
