'Our Myrie' was a longtime member of The Cadillac LaSalle Club of NZ for over 30+ years. I personally met Myrie at one of many club outings in 2006 and quickly respected her energy, humour and sharp wit. She was always as 'bright as a button' and she and Bill enjoyed driving their beautiful red Cadillac convertible to many events. On behalf of the New Zealand club, our condolences to the family and our thoughts are with you at this time. Kindest regards, Ron Melville, Editor FINZ Magazine (of The Cadillac Club of NZ)

Though she was no longer with us, her spirit lived on in the memories we shared and the joy she brought into our lives. And as we said our final goodbyes, we vowed to honor her memory by living each day with the same wild abandon and zest for life that she embodied. Myrie may be gone, but her spirit will forever dance on in our hearts. Rest in peace Myrie My thoughts are with you Bill and your family much love Ray and Heather x

To my beautiful friend Myrie. Thank you for all the wonderful times that I had on my holidays to NZ. You were one very special lady and friend. The laughter and fun times will be with me forever. I always felt when with you that I had a little devil on my shoulder. Love you, you will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you. May you now rest in peace. Until we meet again. Here she comes the cutest little pickle in town, pacing along in her postie car. Nettys mum was a colourful hoot, a delight to be around at their Snells beach house, we had feasts of salami and cheddar on meal mate crackers. Shooing the kids off down to the caravan with a packet of crispies. She was always so enthusiastic about Nets crazy art work, Perhaps because she was so fun and colourful herself! What a wonderful mumma and woman! ❤️

Myrie was a loving, funny and caring sister. She had nicknames for most of us, mine being "whiskers" and John "Johnny Boy". Her Morris Minor was her pride and joy and we had many fun times in it. RIP Myrie ❤️

We both have fond memories of our lovely, happy and sunny Aunty Myrie. We can still hear dad calling her 'Mouse'. Lots of memories of Uncle Bill and Aunty Myrie pulling up to mum and dads in their Cadillac for a visit. She will always be in our memories and sadly missed. Love ya Aunty XX

My dear sister Myrie! What can I say she was a fun-loving and outgoing person and known as Mouse by her brothers & sisters, I will never forget the time we lived in the family home in Tauranga when I arrived home and closed the door after me Myrie came out of our office which housed our laundry clothes basket looking quite sheepish I said what's wrong Myrie "O" I thought you were Dad arriving home! And a few minutes later I could smell Smoke! coming from the office "You got it "! It was coming from the cloth basket I quickly threw the basket out the window and threw water over the smouldering clouths
