BARNES Errol Ian:
24.9.59 - 21.4.24
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Errol at Taranaki Hospice on Sunday 21st April, 2024, aged 64.
Deeply loved husband of the late Suzy whom we only lost six weeks ago.
Treasured Dad of Melissa (deceased), Matthew, and Steven (deceased).
The family will be holding a memorial to celebrate his life at the family home Saturday 27th April at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice Taranaki for all the help they have given our family during this time.

Sending lots of love Matthew and the extended family. It is was such a priviledge to be involved with and care for Suzy, Errol, Matthew and Steven over many years. Amazingly strong and kind family who faced challenging times too many times.
Thanks Errol for everything you have fixed and the good chats. You will be missed, but hopefully catching up with the ones who have gone sooner. Sending my love to family and friends. Rest well Errol, you were a man of action, never afraid to take on a job bigger than many others would attempt! You were a passionate man, towards your whole family who you tirelessly worked for, and also for always for learning new things and taking on information and projects like no other. Kim Greig and Brendan Amos
Errol, what an honor to have known you. You helped with all sorts of projects at Moturoa School (including the school productions.) Always willing and happy to help your friends. I loved….. your sense of humour….. your need to fill up on sweets after your evening meal…your love and support of your family. And I admired your courage dealing with your health issues, and still working in the garden of your new house! So pleased to have seen you so recently. Peace to you my friend, love and fond memories always. Diane Rayner

So sorry. I went through Spotswood Primary, Devon and Spotswood College with Errol. I met him again over the past few years ago when trying to buy houses. Error never waivered for his family, Suzy and him had gone through do much together, but the still had faith and love. Condolences to all the Matthew and Suzys sister Carol and all your families.
