Peacefully at home 28 April 2024. Loved son of the late Colin Gillespie and Kathleen Leslie. Dearly loved husband of Leena and the late Judy. Precious father of the late Tony, Late Mike, and Dave. Also, of Aaron & Jenny, Tim & Lusi. Loved by all his grand and great grandchildren. Grateful thanks to Far North Hospice and all those whose love and strength helped us on this journey. A celebration of Tony’s life will be held on Thursday 2nd May 2024, 11am at Geards Funerals, 13 Pukepoto Road, Kaitaia.

My heartfelt wishes to Gayleen, Dave and the family, that you will treasure the memories you have of AJ. Life was never boring or dull when we had our time together. AJ had a presence about him that filled the room. We shared many stories and experiences together. I’m at peace knowing he will never be alone. AJ, I’m certain your sons will have you fishing, just as long you don’t get sea sick. Cheers to a man who lived a life surrounded by family and friends! Salute AJ Nancy Gillespie.
